EXACT TIME WHEN JESUS DIED

exact_time

LONDON – Two scientists have determined that Jesus Christ was crucified at 3PM on Friday, April 3 in 33 A.D.
The exact date of the crucifixion has been debated for centuries, but British scholars Colin Humphreys and W.G. Waddington believe they have solved the mystery after an exhaustive study of the Bible, ancient calendars and astronomical conditions.
The scientists said that previously the only certainty about the date of the crucifixion was that it occurred between 26 A.D. and 36 A.D., during the 10 years Pontius Pilate was the Roman procurator of Judea. In order to pin down the exact date the two scientists reconstructed the Jewish calendar that was used at the time.
Humphreys and Waddington then fixed the date of a lunar eclipse mentioned in the Bible.
The Bible and other historic references said the “moon turned to blood” after the crucifixion took place.
“In our view the phrase probably refers to a lunar eclipse,” the scientists said.
Humphreys and Waddington studied records of all lunar eclipses that were visible from Jerusalem between 26 A.D. and 36 A.D. and discovered “there is only one lunar eclipse at Passover time visible from Jerusalem.” That eclipse occurred on Friday, April 3, 33 A.D.
In their research, the British scientists also found that Passover time was specified on the official festival calender of Judea.

  1. There is no proof that this man even ever existed. So this time of death is really irrelevant and was clearly a waste of time that could have been better spent researching more important things…like stem cells

    • Sometimes, rarely, I am surprised at how little history people know. This is not one of those times. Nemesite is not the idiot he claims to be. Far too many historians have spoken of the man Jesus for him to be so ignorant.

    • SHows your lack of knowledge – historical records show he existed outside of scripture. Even the Jews wrote new narrative to hold him out to be a heretic of the Jewish faith. Why would they bother doing that, if he never existed?!

    • Well, since His death and ressurection are the most well and extensively documented events in ancient history, you also must believe that there is “no proof ” that anyone else ever existed before, say 500 AD. But, I’m guessing that you believe that there is plenty of proof that hundreds of specific historical figures existed before 500 AD , and you believe that the events recorded are accurate. It’s just Jesus’ life that you chose to disbelieve, simply because you do not WANT to believe. How convenient for your narrow little world view! Good luck with that, although, you are condemned already. But, there is a remedy, and that is to believe.

” For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.” John 3:16-21

  2. oh, really, well, you know I haven't ever met this Pontius Pilate guy either, and heck, that was 2,000 years ago! so wow, you know, i don't believe he exsits then. Just cause it was long ago. Hmm, see how thats not a good arguement?

  3. Stem cells kill babies… so why would u want to do that? Are you a murderer? I am a very religious man, and I believe Jesus sent a message to the scientists who researched this.

  4. I'm no christian, but I am an anthropologist and history nut, there are records of Jesus having existed though whether he is God/son of God is debatable. Why someone would want to spend there time trying to figure out when someone died beyond sheer boredom is beyond me.

    • Actually, there are apparently only anecdotal records for Jesus written well after he was said to have lived.
Same with Moses, by the way. Interesting, no?

    • actually nothing in the bible happened in history it was a collection of stories meant to help one lead a moral life christianity origionaly had more in common with the freemasons and it took something like 500 years after it was formed that they decided to switch to literalism so that the uneducated peasants would join the religion thus making it grow ….letters between bishops and such of the time actualy showed contempt for literalism and its adherents

    • I disagree. Read Daniel in the Bible that prophesied all the kingdoms that will rule on the earth, the Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzar had a dream of a statue that Daniel interpreted for him. The statue explained the reign of five kingdoms which we now know as Babylon, Persia/ Medes, Greece(Alexander), the Roman Empire, and the last that haven't happened are ten nations united together under the coming of the AntiChrist. Also in the bible it prophesies the rebirth of Israel and that the Jews would come back there to take it back, which happened in the 1940s. There's a ton more if any of you need to be educated on it. It also states in the Bible the exact death of Jesus so if you pay attention to the bible and do some calculating then it's pretty simple to figure it out.

  5. I'm just a Audio Dude at a TV Station – I don't know anything about anything, but I'm undecided on which I find more comical, the stories or the comments. If Jesus was a baby that died, would Obama take his stem cells?

  6. In my religion, prophet isha or be famous with called yesus never die but he is Yudas Eskariot.
Please open Al Qur'an Annisaa (4) ; 157, "And for their saying. We slew the Messiah. Jesus son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah', Whereas they slew him not and neither crucified him, but one was made like him for them. And those who are differing about him, certainly, they are in doubt regarding' him. They have not the least knowledge about it, but merely following a conjecture, and undoubtedly, they slew him' not."
This is only sharing of opinion according my knowledge n Al Qur'an

    • I am curious – "but one was made like him (who Jesus?) for them (who?) and who is saying this? I see that the speaker is referring to the quote "we killed Jesus, son of Mary, messenger of God and the al qur'an is saying basically that's a lie – is it also saying that "those who differ about him" — would that be Christians? or simply westerners? and because we differ we are in doubt – which is clearly untrue because I don't doubt. It appears you are not sharing your "opinion" but rather a convoluted quote from Al Qur'an that makes absolutely no sense at all – how can it decern that there is no doubt that "they slew him not" OF COURSE there is doubt – Al Qur'an itself is raising the doubt in this very quote – and saying basically that "their saying" is a lie.
      Just MY opinion.

    • deb,
This Muslim Jesus is part of the end time deception for those who don't know the true Redeemer. I think (my best guess) that at the 5th trumpet, when Apollo comes out of the pit of hell, (see Revelation) he will claim to be from outer space and say that he planted the humans on earth, and we should follow the moon god. This will be the lie that causes many to accept "the mark" which will be to worship Allah.

    • It is true that the followers of Allah have no promise of life after death with God, except as they destroy others. Christians are promised, with every prophesy fulfilled in our book, life forever with the Creator God who is El Shadei also known as YHWH. Ask your self, how one who does not tell the truth can be part of the Holy One who can not lie? The answer is: only those who forsake untruth can see the kingdom of The Creator God.

  7. Whether there was a jesus or not – religion separates people, by the way how come some people who worship the high and mighty of their belief are called christians and others are called cult members? Where' s the solid proof of who's beliefs are right?

  8. I am fascinated that this seems to do even more to confirm events of that time – it happened on a Friday and Jesus arose from the dead on a Sunday – and I personally don't think they wasted their time at all. It was, after all, THEIR time to do with what they pleased. I think it's always good to seek facts to confirm historic events and this is history, not a fictional tale – and the writings of the Bible are divided into historic recollections, poetry, philosphy –

  9. The April 3, 33AD date for Jesus's crucifixion has been around for centuries, starting with Isaac Newton, and later by Fredrick Larson using astronomy software to match the data described in the new testament book of Matthew. Check out BethlehemStar.net.

  10. today most people are really thinking for themselves, that in many ways question God's existence and commandments which clearly manifest what was written in the Holy Scriptures or Bible.that man's love will be more centered to their own profit and boast their wisdom ignoring someone who give them life.poor and pity they who forget and neglect God in their lives .wish they uses the chances they have to repent and search for the one, true God and his church.

  11. A lot of people today questions the credibility of the Bible, they find thousands of error in the manuscript, word for word, and letter by letter. The Bible does not need support from the other book as reference to prove the existence as other religion did. The Jewish/Israel is the living evidence that real God exist. The Bible is not a fairy tale, a fiction, legend, a mythology, a novel, a drama, superhero. As most of the people loved. They call themselves a Christian but they do not know Christ.

  12. A late comment, with perspective for those with eyes to see; how was the prophesy of 3 days and 3 nights fulfilled from a Friday crucifixion? The answer is that it was/could not be. Messiah had to be crucified on Wednesday, the (high day) Sabbath of the Feast of Unleavened Bread started at sunset. 3 days and 3 nights ends at sunset on Sabbath (Saturday evening). For those who quote that He was raised on the first day of the week, remember that God's day begins at sunset. So the first day of the week was our Saturday night- NOT Sunday. …
Those who are stuck in their Sunday pew warmer attitude will reject this out of hand. Those truth seekers will find truth here. This truth allows me to know, by the fulfillment of prophesy, that this article is (well intentioned) misinformation.

  13. The contest for the souls of those on the face of the earth comes down to the truth. Who has truth?
This is what we need, truth we know we can believe in.
Go and google " father of lies " . It will tell you the answer.
    John 8:44
44 You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
    +++++++++++++
So, forsake the lies, seek the truth. Don't come to me claiming truth when your book says it is OK to lie. Liars end up in the Lake of Fire (pants on fire) ;-).
