The pictures are FAKE. This story has NOT been covered by ANYONE except the Weekly World News. The Weekly World News is not a reliable news source. It is borderline SATIRE, a bit like The Onion. All of you who believed the story were extremely gullible to do so. I've found no evidence to suggest that Marcia Wasson is even a real person.

I, as an atheist, have no idea how the universe started, I wasn't there so I cannot accurately make any claims on that. But neither can any living human being on this planet. Don't make the mistake of thinking that we haven't heard the "where did the energy come from" argument a billion times, and it's simply refuted by pointing out your circular reasoning. Just because we don't know "where the energy came from" is no reason to insert a god into the equation. By your logic, if everything had to come from something else, and could not have come from nothing, then where did god come from? And where did the "thing/entity etc" come from that made god? And who created the entity that created god? And on and on and on.
I have nothing against religion, but the world could be a much better place if people started thinking for themselves instead of just following beliefs that have no basis.
Science can often be hard work to understand, religion is easy, all you need to do is believe. Ever thought if that might be the real test? Maybe you are being tested to see if you will just believe what others have told you, or will you put in the hard work and seek the truth yourself?

^That's called Pascal's Wager. If god is all-powerful and all-knowing, don't you think he already knows that your belief is based on what you said in your last line? To clarify, "your belief system is based on the fear of what might happen if you didn't believe." That's not true belief, and I highly doubt(if god is what believers say it is) it will get you into heaven, because at the end of the day it's not honest "belief", it's just fear.
If we were created in god's image, as is often said, then god has to be fair. And in that case, I believe being a good person is most important, and a fair and loving god would judge you based on that, not whether you just believed something to be true or not even if you were a horrible excuse for a human being.
