SAO PAULO – An unauthorized video ad for the World Wildlife Federation featuring 9/11 has been leaked.

Earlier this week, a print ad that had been submitted to the World Wildlife Federation found it’s way onto the Internet.

While the WWF outright rejected the ad, the company, DDB Brasil, submitted it to an advertising competition without removing the WWF logo. This led to mass confusion over whether the WWF had condoned the message or not.

The organization issued this statement: “WWF strongly condemns this offensive and tasteless ad and did not authorise its production or publication. It is an unauthorised use of our logo and we are aggressively pursuing action to have it removed from websites where it is being currently featured.

“We strongly condemn the messages and the images portrayed in this ad. On behalf of WWF around the world, we can promise you this ad does not in any way reflect the thoughts and feelings of the people of our organisation.”

Now, despite the WWF’s strong disapproval, a video version of the ad has leaked. The ad has been pulled down on YouTube, however you can view the video below:
