she just doesnt look the same as she used to. shes aging and she probably is having a hard time seeing as her career died along with her marriage. i mean, her country album didn't exactly reach gold…and most of her movies have gone straight to video. i feel sorry for her. she can't manage to keep a guy or her star power. im naturally a size 0 and when she was younger she looked around my size. but that was when she was with nick. maybe she doesn't feel healthy or like herself at that size. she had to really work at being thin. if you'd pickup a magazine ud always see her dieting or doing squats. she worked hard to get that rock hard body. but its ultimitately up to her. if she doesn't want her body to look super thin thats her perrogative. i don't think she's fat. heavier, yes. we all know she did gain weight. but so did britney spears and christina aguilera. she wouldn't get so much flack for it if she had had kids, but it didn't happen for her. if your a fan just try to support her in whatever she chooses

Oh please – Oprah fever strikes again! Thyroid problems are rare. Jessica eats out a lot, she always has. I always knew when I watched "Newlyweds" that her metabolism would catch up with her, like it does with all of us. And again, if you cover up her top (she is not wearing a supportive bra and since she is big-breasted, it makes her look bigger), you'll see that she's not – why is the word "fat" even being mentioned? Kirtsie Alley is fat. Jessica? Not. She chose a bad outfit, period.

The average size if a "real" woman is 16?! What crap! 16 is obese and obese is no more healthy than the example you brought up, Karen Carpenter (really, can you not get any more recent than that?). A woman who is size 16 is so many times more likely to have heart problems, high blood pressure, diabetes…. this whole "accept and embrace fat" movement is NOT helping! There really is a happy medium, folks. And if you look at pictures of Jessica the day before this day and the day after, you'll see that it's the OUTFIT. She's no where near fat – she just is wearing the absolute wrong clothes often.

Ms. Carpenter struggled tragically for many many years. Anorexia is a disease – people with anorexia see something in the mirror that is not what is real. It isn't the same as just wanting to be thin. It's a real illness that needs real treating.
