PEMBROKE PINES, FL – Following a charity concert that served a buffet of criticism over her appearance, Jessica Simpson has turned to an old friend for support – Tonya!
The country-pop starlet has made her name on being a more wholesome alternative to her skin-flashing peers, but that has not stopped Simpson from playing up her looks and features. The media and audience members alike took notice during the charity event that there seemed to be more of Simpson, and more undercover than usual.
“Now, I’m not one to make fun of people, or kick them when they’re down,” gossip columnist Perez Hilton said in a blog post. “So all I’m going to say, all I’m going to point out, is that she had to wear two belts at that show. Two Belts. Two.”
Simpson reportedly took the blog post and media attention very hard. She had her mother place a call to Tonya, the World’s Fattest Cat, an old friend of the Simpsons.
“Tonya could not be more pleased that Jessica looked to her for advice,” Tonya’s spokeswoman said in a statement to reporters in Florida. “There is no one that has gotten more publicity, both good and bad, about her weight and size than Tonya. She is the perfect person to help Jessica through this private time.”
Tonya spent several hours with Jessica and her mother watching a screener of “Nights in Rodanthe” and eating low-fat diet Healthy Choice Rocky Road ice cream.
“It was a relaxing and fun night,” Tonya said through her spokeswoman. “I told Jessica that she is as beautiful as ever, no matter what people might be saying about her. She should never be ashamed of her looks or body and she should never let people make her feel bad about herself.”
“I told her ‘Big is Beautiful!’ ‘Fat is All That!’ and The Bigger the Better!’ We toasted with an Root Beer float.”

she just doesnt look the same as she used to. shes aging and she probably is having a hard time seeing as her career died along with her marriage. i mean, her country album didn't exactly reach gold…and most of her movies have gone straight to video. i feel sorry for her. she can't manage to keep a guy or her star power. im naturally a size 0 and when she was younger she looked around my size. but that was when she was with nick. maybe she doesn't feel healthy or like herself at that size. she had to really work at being thin. if you'd pickup a magazine ud always see her dieting or doing squats. she worked hard to get that rock hard body. but its ultimitately up to her. if she doesn't want her body to look super thin thats her perrogative. i don't think she's fat. heavier, yes. we all know she did gain weight. but so did britney spears and christina aguilera. she wouldn't get so much flack for it if she had had kids, but it didn't happen for her. if your a fan just try to support her in whatever she chooses

That's right, Michelle! We are only putting a greater burden on Jessica by focusing on her weight gain. She is a beautiful person and will be no matter her size. She may be struggling with other issues and needs our support, not our mean and hurtful comments, to get through these times. I struggle with a food addiction and when I hear a comment that I have gained weight, it only hinders my ability to lose it again. People incapable of seeing inner beauty are truly the ugly ones.
No, i am sorry, but you are wrong… You see, yes she does have a great voice, but there will always be someone out there ready to take her place. Someone that is willing to put their bodies through hell and create the image of perfection. You have to understand that she didn't become what she is own her own. She was an investment that some record label decided to make. Yes because she can sing and because she was pretty, but in the image that they wanted her to be. she can't jsut be an everyday you and me. she ahs to be more. she ahs to be someones getaway. a retreat away from the world…
