DANCING WITH THE STARS CAST
March 3, 2010 by Allie PruittHOLLYWOOD, CA – America’s favorite reality dancing show is back. 11 new stars will take to the floor and show their moves! The tenth season of Dancing with the Stars will premiere on Monday, March 22nd on ABC. Emmy-award winning game show host Tom Bergeron will take the reins as host alongside Samantha Harris. The judges will remain the same and include Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli. The cast was recently revealed and we have it for you here.
Buzz Aldrin. The oldest competitor on the show but with age comes wisdom. Buzz was part of Apollo 11, the first manned lunar landing in history. On July 20, 1969 he became the second man to set foot on the moon, the first being Neil Armstrong. Besides being an astronaut, Buzz was also a fighter pilot and held the rank of Colonel in the United States Air Force.
Chad Ochocinco. The biggest mouth in the NFL. Ochocinco has been fined more than anyone can count for his antics on the football field. Dancing with the Stars would not be completely without a big name sports athlete. Ochocinco currently plays wide receiver for the Cincinnati Bengals. He has been selected to the Pro Bowl six times and been named an All-Pro three times. He changed his surname from Johnson to Ochocinco prior to the 2008 season to reflect the numbers on his Bengals jersey. Ochocinco will certainly be bringing his personality and trash talking to the competition.
Aiden Turner. The soap opera dreamboat. He currently stars as Aidan Devane on All My Children. Turner is also a cover boy for Avon. There’s no doubt that regardless of his dancing abilities, Turner will have most women’s votes.
Erin Andrews. The reporter that makes any sport look good. She currently works for ESPN covering all sporting events and has become an internet sensation because, well she’s hot! Playboy magazine voted her “America’s Sexiest Sportscaster” in 2007 and 2008.
Evan Lysacek. America’s figure skating golden boy. He took home the gold medal at the Vancouver Olympics in men’s figure skating. He trophy case is stacked with titles that include 2009 World champion and 2009/2010 Grand Prix Final Champion. He is currently ranked 1st in the world for men’s figure skating.
Jake Pavelka. He had his heart broken in the last Bachelorette and then he proceeded to break hearts of his own on the Bachelor. Pavelka will always be known for choosing the most hated girl in all of Bachelor history. Millions watched as he let sweet Tenley Molzhan go and went with Vienna Girardi. The commercial pilot will try his hand at dancing.
Kate Gosselin. Reality TV’s biggest “star” to date. The new standard in taking your fifteen minutes of fame and making the most of it. She burst into the spotlight with the show Jon & Kate Plus 8 which followed her and her now ex-husband Jon Gosselin as they raised their sextuplets and twins. Gosselin has gone on record saying, “I will win Dancing with the Stars.” We will be on the edge of our seats. Let us hope she brings her hair extensions.
Nicole Scherzinger. The “hot” factor of the show went through the roof when she was announced as a contestant. Scherzinger is a singer, songwriter, dancer, occasional actress and super hotty best known for being the lead singer of the Pussycat Dolls. There’s not much that needs to be said. Just enjoy the show.
Niecy Nash. If anyone will be bringing the comedy, it will be Nash. She is best known for her role as Deputy Raineesha Williams on Reno 911. Nash has appeared in countless movies and television shows. She is also a spokeswoman for Mother’s Against Violence In Schools.
Pamela Anderson. The former Baywatch star is back and looking just as good. She was Playmate of the Month for Playboy magazine in February of 1990. She is a spokeswoman for PETA and has carried as successful career as a producer and writer and glamour model. Let’s hope her chest area doesn’t impede her performance.
Shannen Doherty. Last but not least. The former star of both 90210 and Charmed. Doherty has continued her acting career with various appearances in TV and film but has also launched a career as a producer.
