greetings from canada i would have to say hi to W bush and then say thanks for all he did for us then i would have to say we are not alone and yes it is wuite unfortunate that we human speices are not what you would call humbel creatures we are organic matter over bone yes but our ability to control rage and primate instincts are humorous we are barely capable of getting along in our own families let alone society are only do one thing right …. breed? our pathetic excuse for a life that we so desperately try to create meaning is all we have . whoever these creatures are i hope they come down from inner space outerspace hyperspace paraelle universe's where ever and brainwash all of the people who feed of doing harm to offthemselves and we are left with a down to earth society .

This is a brave man. He doesn't care what people think of him. Yet he's a WITNESS of alien life, we all who he is, so basically he can stand proud and say whatever he wants. Had he said these things some decades ago, he'd been slain.

I hate it when the articles say "Ex Nasa astronaut BELIEVES in e.t life. " It's not a matter of belief, it's the evidence you encounter and make assumptions based upon them. (Same thing I say about the Christian religion – I don't CARE whether you believe in God.. or Santa for the matter – I just want to get the Explanation, What do you think it is?

I agree that we should all demand production of evidence, but the goverment has many reasons to classify and cover up this information. First, they realize what Karl Marx observed (keep in mind that I am a Christian and have a deep faith in God): that religion is opium for the masses. The admission of the existence of extraterrestrials would topple some religious beliefs and technologically advanced races could take advantage of being heralded as gods. Secondly, the amount of technology required to travel any real distance (ie. beyond our solar system) with ease means that they are far in advance of our own technology. Government fears that people will lose faith in the governments' ability to protect them against a superior or advanced race. Thirdly, and this directly relates to the previous statement, goverment fears loss of control and possible overthrow by advanced races, due to being reduced to impotence by a population who no longer recognizes their power. No person or organization can exert power over another if the person governed does not give over that control to the one attempting to exert the power.

It happened and now look at all the reverse engineering we all enjoy from it. The cover up came so the higher echelon people could make $$ on the technology just like Bush and Cheney did by trying to cover up the fact that they entered Iraq because both are huge stockholders in Halliburton and that the stockholders in the oil industry during their years made $19 TRILLION dollars per year of PURE PROFIT from it.

(People from Harvard, please use your smarts for the rest of us lay-people and tell us what 8 x $19 Trillion is!!) All I do know is that I heard on CNN that $1 Trillion can buy 10 Million people a $100K house EACH!! WOW!! Where's mine?!!

But going back to the aliens – seems like they found a good thing and wanted to hide it to make it work for themselves – think about it computers at that time were whole room jobbies run on punch cards and now a mere 60 years later the same amount of information can be used in a handheld device. – Reverse engineering and as usual the rich get richer the poor stay that way and we're all supposed to play dumb about it.
